Development engineer in the field of thermal utilization of biomasses (m/f/d)

Work location:

hybrid (home office & LK Ostallgäu)

Our technology enables the conversion of biogenic residues into a high-quality pyrolysis gas. This in turn can be used to generate climate-neutral electricity and heat.

The second product is biochar, a valuable soil conditioner for agriculture and forestry. At the same time, biochar also has one of the world's greatest potentials for removing billions of tons ofCO2 from the atmosphere and thus reversing climate change.

With our technology, companies and municipalities can close (their own) material cycles, become energy self-sufficient, make the soil more resilient and actively contribute to climate protection.

Our task as a start-up in the beautiful Allgäu region is now to bring this pyrolysis technology into series production and to continuously develop it further. To this end, we are now looking for a development engineer in the field of thermal utilization of biomass (m/f/d).

Your tasks:

  • Analysis of the physical-chemical parameters of the pyrolysis process based on the current plant design
  • Further development of the system with regard to:
    • Quality (gas quality and purity, composition biochar),
    • Efficiency (heat conduction, gas yield)
    • Variability (utilization of different organic Input materials)

‍Requirement profile:

  • Completed training or studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering, technical chemistry, environmental technology or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the (further) development of pyrolysis systems
  • Distinct ability to work in a team
  • Hands-On Mentality
  • Drive and will to solve problems and push innovation

What we offer:

  • A motivated, competent team
  • Good and performance-related compensation
  • Flexible working hours
  • An exciting, challenging and varied job
  • The opportunity to develop yourself in a fast-growing, innovative company

We are also happy to support you in further training that makes sense in the context of your work and personal development.

If we have aroused your interest, we look forward to receiving your application.
